as we see progressive Democrats on the rise all the way from Congress to our local and county races. By finding progressive, talented candidates for public office, and working to get them elected, we are able to move our region forward. The victories of recent years have been made possible by the tremendous efforts of our grassroots volunteers, the dedicated men and women who are willing to give their time and energy because they believe that their effort will improve the world we live in.

I met Anne Rubin on Election Day in 2007, when she spent a cold, rainy 9 hours driving college students to the polls, because the local Republicans refuse to put a polling place near the campus. Since then, she has undertaken a number of projects, volunteering with the Red Hook Democrats, putting over a thousand hours in as a member of the Red Hook Conservation Advisory Council and Zoning Review Committee, and most recently, giving everything she has to running for the 103rd NYS Assembly.

Since July, Anne has been putting in 18 and 20 hour days, getting her message out to the voters of the Hudson Valley. She has brought us a vision of sustainable economic growth, centered around bringing the well-paying renewable energy jobs of the future right here to Dutchess and Columbia Counties. From Hudson to East Fishkill, from Red Hook to Copake, she has repeated her message of job growth, sustainability, reform, and social equality. She is a principled leader who stood up to fight for the future of our communities.

Anne has given everything she has to making the Hudson Valley a better place to live, and now she needs our help.

In the last three days of the campaign, we need every last person to be going door to door and making phone calls, not just on Anne's behalf, but for all of our great Democratic candidates.

If you have even an hour of spare time, please contact me as soon as possible, we will set you up with call lists or walk lists near your home, or tell you the nearest Democratic headquarters where you can get to work.
